Bethany House celebrates and recognizes the Futures of Hope Society, a group of inspiring individuals who have built Bethany House into their wills, trusts, or other estate plans.
By leaving a gift to Bethany House, these supporters ensure that vital services continue for future generations and leave a lasting impact on the lives of women, children, and families experiencing homelessness.
You can empower and stabilize future generations of families in need by remembering Bethany House in your long-term giving plans. Here are the two most common ways:
Remembering Bethany House in Your Will
Remembering an organization in your will is called a “bequest” and is the most common way to leave a gift to Bethany House. You can leave a specific dollar amount or asset, a percentage of your estate, or residue of your estate. These gifts help you leave a lasting legacy and often lessen the burden of taxes on your family.
Sample Language: Specific Bequest
“I bequeath (the sum of $____) or (_____% of the net of value of estate) or (describe the specific asset to be gifted) to Bethany House Services, Tax #31-1101401, with principal offices currently located at 4769 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45237.”
Sample Language: Residual Bequest
“I devise the residual of my estate, after the satisfaction of all specific bequests and payment of all taxes and other costs attending my death, to Bethany House Services, Tax #31-1101401, with principal offices currently located at 4769 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45237.”
Beneficiary Designations
Another easy and common way to leave a gift is by designating Bethany House as your beneficiary. You can name a beneficiary for your IRAs and retirement plans, life insurance policies, commercial annuities, or even your bank accounts.
Here are three simple steps to name Bethany House as your beneficiary:
1. Contact your retirement plan administrator, insurance company, or bank/financial institution for a change-of-beneficiary form.
2. Return the completed form to your plan administrator, insurance company, or bank/financial institution.
3. Decide what percentage (1-100%) you would like Bethany House to receive, and name us, along with your chosen percentage, on the form.
