The Bash Brief

Generous hearts and vibrant smiles filled the American Sign Museum as over 300 people gathered to celebrate, connect, and support Bethany House families. The glowing backdrop set the scene for an unforgettable evening as the ever-charming and longtime supporter, Kyla Woods, hosted the night as emcee. Guests were delighted by our favorite mixologist, Molly Wellmann, who served up three signature cocktails. Seasoned Dish treated everyone to delicious seasonal dishes, and DJ Pillo kept the energy high all night long.

Each year, Bethany House bestows two Beacon awards to people who have been a shining light to those experiencing homelessness. This year, we recognized Chris Bochenek and Robie Suggs.

As the Vice President and Senior Program Manager at the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Foundation, Chris has been a foundational pillar since its beginning in 2006.

Driven by a deep commitment to the residents we serve, Chris and the Haile Foundation were the first local funder to support the campaign that helped build our current shelter and expanded services center. Chris is a steadfast leader who has ensured that Bethany House will continue to provide welcoming spaces and services for many years to come.

As President and CEO of Warsaw Federal Bank, Robie Suggs has spent her career in banking rooted in community. Her passion for championing local families goes far beyond the boardrooms where she leads.

Bethany House has been deeply fortunate to benefit from Robie’s devotion for over nine years, through her dedicated service on both our Board and key committees. Robie is an advocate and true servant leader dedicated to enhancing the lives of women and families in our community.

This year, generous supporters helped Bethany House raise $288,547! All Bash proceeds directly support the mothers, children, and families living in Bethany House’s emergency shelter.

We are grateful to this caring and giving community. Thanks to all of you—sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees—for your unyielding belief in our mission and support of families as they move One Step Closer to Home.
