Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

From September 15 to October 15, Bethany House is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by honoring the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across Cincinnati and Ohio. 

At Bethany House, we envision a community where every family has a place to call home and no one spends a night without shelter. Reaching that goal means recognizing the people and communities we serve. That’s why we observe four affinity months throughout the year that honor traditionally marginalized groups, many of whom are strongly represented among the families who come to us for help. 

This month, we’re spotlighting local Hispanic leaders who are making a difference in our region. So far, we’ve featured Josué Vicente of Ohio Hispanic Coalition and Mayra Casas Jackson of the Immigrant and Refugee Law Center, and more stories are on the way through October 15.
