Success Story: Home Again
When Jazmond fell behind on rent and lost her home, she simply did not have the resources to move her family into a new apartment.
With four daughters and no safety net, they moved from hotel room to hotel room until Jazmond could no longer afford even that. Eventually, they were forced to live in their car.
Then, they arrived Bethany House. Here, Jazmond and her daughters found the support to begin again.
While staying in shelter, Jazmond continued working full-time. She also took advantage of Bethany House’s empowerment, parental support, and financial literacy classes designed to help parents build lasting stability. Her daughters received the medical care available onsite to keep them healthy and thriving during a difficult season.
Earlier this summer, Jazmond and her daughters moved into an apartment of their own!
Bethany House helped remove the barriers such as past utility bills, immediate rental costs, and repairs to the family’s car. The family also received Bethany Basics—kitchen and household items—to set up their new home.
When asked what she is most excited about, Jazmond shared: “I’m happy to be moving forward. Together, and for good.”
