Have you ever wanted to understand exactly what your money does when you donate to a good cause?
When you make a donation to A Pathway Home, you will not only enable a family to restart their new life but also know exactly who you helped and how you helped them.
Each year, roughly 250 families move out of Bethany House’s emergency shelter and into their own homes. The costs to restabilize a family are great: first month’s rent, last month’s rent, security deposit, utility arrears, household supplies, and more.
You can help ensure families move out of shelter as quickly as possible and start their Pathway Home.
How It Works
It costs an average of $5,000 per family to move out of shelter into their new home. A Pathway Home matches donors (sponsors) with families to ensure all costs are covered on their moves out of shelter. This program has two levels of participation available:
1. Partial Sponsorship ($2,500): With a $2,500 donation, sponsors will receive an email within a week of their donation that gives that real information about the family they are helping.
2. Full Sponsorship ($5,000): With a $5,000 donation, sponsors will receive the same initial email as partial sponsors as well as two update emails about the family approximately three months and nine months after the family has moved out of Bethany House.

Creative Ideas for A Pathway Home
If you own a business, consider challenging your employees to raise part of a sponsorship and have the company contribute the rest. You could do a full sponsorship instead of a partial or sponsor two families leaving shelter!
Pool resources from friends and family together. Maybe you aren’t able to contribute enough by yourself, but with some help, you can become a sponsor!
Give a partial or full sponsorship has a gift. Imagine how much more meaningful this could be than another traditional gift for a birthday, Mother’s/Father’s Day, or anniversary!
