Community Partnership for Car Repairs

If you can’t get to work, you can’t pay the rent.

This is the reality for too many in our community, including families served by Bethany House. While a minor car repair may not seem like a huge burden to some, it can be the difference between keeping and losing a job and ultimately keeping and losing a home.

When we polled our case managers, car repair stood out as one of the biggest hurdles for families on very tight budgets.

Enter: The Help Squad! A westside nonprofit initiating the Drive Program which is partnering with local auto repair businesses to assist low-income families with free car repair as an important part of homelessness prevention. Bethany House will be one of the organizations served by this new initiative.
